The National Glass Centre, Sunderland re-opens this weekend after extensive redevelopment.  As part of the re-opening, The Sunderland Book Project has been invited to be part of the event and will be on show throughout the weekend.  The opening is part of the Festival of the North East and presents a jam-packed programme of new exhibitions. free demonstrations, family friendly activities and artist talks, plus the Sunderland Book Project.  I will be exhibiting the collection on the ground floor, near the main entrance and shop, its an excellent chance to come along and view the collection.  Why not pick up a form and contribute to the project? After an exceptionally warm reception at BALTIC Artists’ Book Fair last weekend, the Sunderland Book Project continues to travel the region and will be part of  Abode, the next exhibition at Greenfield Gallery in Newton Aycliffe, 4th July – 24th July. The Sunderland Book Project is a handling exhibition, where visitors are encouraged to handle the books, engage in the tactile nature of books and respond to the tangible interpretation of the city by the sea.
