The Sunderland Book Project took part in Heritage Learning Day 9th Feb 2013@ Washington Library.  The collection was out on display for a few hours with Theresa Easton, the projects initiator on hand and ready to speak to visitors about the project and individual work.

I have to say I feel very privileged being able to speak so intimately about the collection.  I feel I know the work so well and yet always have things to learn as I found out when Julie Macbean called in and noticed a connection between research used in her book and Sue Bennett’s.

Visitors to the library were able to explore the collection and if the books inspired them, create their own interpretation using a Chap Map Book design.
