Heritage Learning Days in Washington & Sunderland are an excellent opportunity to visit the local libary and find out about local history.  Please note the times on the Sunderland city council website are incorrect and the times posted here are correct.

Saturday 9th February 1pm until 3pm the Sunderland Book Project will be in Washington Town Library, available for visitors to browse the books and see the city through the eyes of a bookmaker from the other side of the world! Artists, bookmakers, designers, illustrators and those new to bookmaking, from Scotland, to Plymouth have designed a book in response to the city of Sunderland.  Alongside the collection I will be providing materials and ideas for you to join in and make your own book in response to the The Sunderland Book Project and Heritage Learning Day.

Saturday 16th February (if you aren’t taking part in the march & rally in Newcastle against the cuts to services and libraries) then come along to Heritage Learning Day at City Library and Arts Centre in Sunderland.  Between 10am – 12 noon, The Sunderland Book Project will be out on display with the opportunity to design and create your own Sunderlan
