Durham City Food Festival and

Durham Libraries (See below for full tour dates)

Join us at Durham Book Festival for the launch of Book Apothecary – a travelling artist book museum created by visual artists Yvette Hawkins, Aidan Moesby, Theresa Eastonand Stevie Ronnie.

Artists have shared skills in book binding, printmaking, sculpture, drawing, writing and audio with a group of young artists to make a series of handmade books centred around the theme of Category. All book works are presented in a unique travelling vessel made up of modified vintage suitcases and trunks designed by Furniture Maker Nick James.

Book Apothecary is inspired by the idea of book and botanical categorisation systems, proving that books can be visual as well as informative.

Catch Book Apothecary on its travels and explore hidden and unusual handmade books.
